New role for inspector

A NEW police inspector has been appointed to lead the four Safer Neighbourhood Teams in mid-Suffolk.

Insp Tristan Pepper was previously custody inspector for the west of the county, but will now be covering mid-Suffolk north, south, central and Stowmarket.

He joined Suffolk Police in 1991 and had a spell as district inspector for the Sudbury area during the period when SNTs were first introduced.

Insp Pepper said: “I am very happy to be taking up this role and am looking forward to tackling issues like anti-social behaviour and drink-related crime, which affects people’s quality of life.”
