Permission to build a 45-bedroom care home off Cats Lane in Great Cornard is being sought by Goldcare Homes.

The company is applying to Babergh District Council for outline planning permission to build the home, together with five homes which would front onto Cats Lane, and a 21-space car park.

The plan will go before planners tomorrow, (July 8), and council planning officers are recommending approval.

Previous outline consent for a care home with five houses, was granted in September, 2011, but, as the work was not carried out, the permission lapsed.
