New accolade secured by Suffolk Chamber of Commerce
Suffolk Chamber of Commerce’s work to support businesses across the region has won national praise.
The recognition comes from the British Bankers Association (BBA), which has named the chamber as an approved mentoring organisation.
We’re delighted the chamber has been commended for its services.
This new seal of approval confirms that the chamber has met the high standards set by the BBA and gives businesses the opportunity to access quality mentoring services.
John Dugmore, chief executive of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, said: “We’re delighted the chamber has been commended for its services it delivers to the business community.
“We have an already-established mentoring service and we manage the Growth Hub team, which provides free face-to-face business advice and support.
“It’s great Suffolk Chamber has been recognised as a mentoring organisation and means business owners can be assured our services are accredited and trusted.”
He said: “As a result of being approved by the BBA, the chamber is now listed on the mentorsme website, which is a portal for business owners looking to engage with mentors.
Tim Rivett, BBA mentoring manager, said: “Quality is paramount to what we are trying to achieve, making it quick and easy for businesses to find a suitable mentor.
He added: “I am confident that the chamber can make a significant contribution to quality mentoring.”
This latest accolade comes after Suffolk Chamber gained academy status with the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs, giving the chamber the ability to deliver nationally accredited qualifications in the field of business support.
The New Anglia Growth Hub’s advisers are currently working towards a diploma in Business and Enterprise Support, demonstrating the hub’s commitment to drive up standards to the highest level.
