Residents on a road in Sudbury recently came together to organise a street- long charity event.
The Melford Road Charity Sale saw houses along the street holding different stalls, including bric-a-brac, plant sales, face painting and raffles.
Sudbury town councillor John Sayers even had his hair shaved off.
The event was held partly to raise funds for Cancer Research UK, but also to create a community spirit between neighbours.
Lenka Bashford, who originally came up with the idea, said: “I suggested the idea and we all came together.
“There were around 15 stalls and we have raised around £750.”
With the Bay Horse public House also getting involved it is hoped the final total raised will be closer to £1,000.
The Bay Horse also held a buffet after the event for the residents that took part to get together.
“It was as much about the street getting together and I think it really helped in that,” said Mrs Bashford.
