More than 500 metres of copper piping stolen from business in Sudbury




Copper piping was stolen following a break-in at business premises in Sudbury last week, resulting in a police appeal for witnesses to the incident to come forward.

The burglary occurred at Buildbase in Milner Road, located on the Chilton Road Industrial Estate, some time overnight, between Wednesday, May 27 and Thursday, May 28.

An angle grinder was used to force entry into the warehouse, before an unknown number of offenders stole more than 550 metres of copper piping, of varying sizes in diameter, from the site.

Anybody who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area around the times stated, who has any knowledge of the whereabouts of the stolen piping, or who has been offered copper pipe for sale since May 28, should get in touch with Suffolk Police.
