Children at St Joseph’s Primary School in Sudbury have planted a tree to mark the completion of their new school hall.
The purpose-built building in Beaconsfield Road took nine months to build and followed years of planning.
Last week, youngsters joined teachers, parents and the Rev David Bagstaff for a planting ceremony to mark the finished hall.
Lydia Bowles, head of school, said pupils now had more space to play, perform and learn. “The children had to spend six months without a playground while the work was going on, but they are seeing the benefit,” said Mrs Bowles, who has been at the school for two years. MSFP-19-03-13-BC 006
