More checks pledged

Overflowing dog poo bins on a Sudbury school field will be checked and emptied more regularly after complaints from residents about potential hygiene and litter issues.

The two bins, on Ormiston Sudbury Academy’s playing field, have overflowed on several occasions as dog walkers fill them quicker than Sudbury Town Council’s community wardens can empty them.

Bradley Smith, community warden, said: “They will now be monitored every day between Monday and Friday during our rounds and emptied as often as required.”
