MILITARY enthusiasts will be in their element at a fair in Great Cornard this month.
The Stevenson Centre will host the Sudbury Skirmish – a military hobby fair – on November 19.
Visitors can expect stalls selling model kits, books and militaria, while a number of Jeeps, one of the most iconic military vehicles of all time, will also be on display.
Roger Burden, who is organising the fair along with his wife Janet, said: “My wife and I have travelled to military hobby fairs all across southern England, but never found one in the Sudbury area. So we decided to hold one ourselves.”
Mr Burden added that it was a special year for the military with the 90th anniversary of the Royal British Legion, and 70 years since the formation of the SAS and the introduction of the Jeep.
“We will be holding a raffle for the legion and raising funds for Help for Heroes, which does a lot of good work for injured British service personnel,” added Mr Burden.
