Objections to the resurfacing of a rural footpath in Acton have resulted in a meeting of residents, the parish council, Suffolk Highways, rights of way team and county councillor Colin Spence.

It will then be assessed whether the proposal is representative of the wider community.

Simon Oldfield, one of the protesters, said: “It is the nearest thing to a re-think that we could have hoped for.”
