Man killed in plane crash is named

A pilot killed in a plane crash in Aldham, near Hadleigh, has been named.

Gregory Clipstone, of Opal Avenue in Ipswich, died after his light aircraft came down near farmhouses on Saturday morning.

Emergency services were called to the incident at around 11.20am, but the 56-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is being carried out by the Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) to establish the cause of the crash.

Suffolk Police are assisting and supporting the AAIB in order to prepare a file for the coroner.
