Man due in court after being charged with attempted robbery in Halstead
A man has been charged with an attempted robbery in Halstead, and is scheduled to appear in court later this year.
Essex Police were called to an incident in Trinity Road on Tuesday, February 25.
It was reported that a man had caused damage to a van, before he proceeded to threaten another man with a piece of wood.
Officers from the Braintree Local Policing team arrived at the scene and arrested a man on suspicion of attempted robbery, in connection with the incident.
Following an investigation carried out by Braintree CID, 23-year-old Aaron Rowe, of Magdalen Street, Colchester, was subsequently formally charged with attempted robbery, attempting to cause criminal damage and criminal damage.
Rowe is now due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 8, in relation to the charges.
