Man charged with burglaries in Clare

A 33-year-old man has appeared in court charged with a string of burglaries and thefts, including three in Clare.

Marc Nicholls, of Hawke Road, Ipswich, attended Bury St Edmunds Magistrates Court last Wednesday. He was charged with breaking into a business in Stoke Road, Clare, and stealing a generator on February 25, stealing cash from a business in Well Close overnight between February 24 and 25 and attempted burglary at a club in Stoke Road on February 25.

Nicholls was also charged with the theft of an outboard motor, worth £1,700 from a boat moored at Woodbridge and the theft of a Citroen Berlingo van in Bury St Edmunds between February 10 and 11.

Nicholls was remanded in custody and will appear at Ipswich Crown Court on April 27.
