A man has been arrested in connection with a burglary and a series of drug offences in Sudbury.

The 35-year-old was arrested on suspicion of burglary at a property in Cross Street, fraud by false representation, possession of class A drugs and possession of class B drugs with intent to supply.

His arrest follows an incident on Tuesday, when a man was reprimanded by officers from Suffolk Police at The Croft in the town.

Following a search, he was found in possession of a small quantity of cannabis – a class C drug.

At a nearby property, police officers discovered a quantity of amphetamines, plus around £190, various mobile phones, scales and three small air weapons.

After being questioned, the suspect was released under investigation pending further inquiries.
