A man was arrested, following an incident in which a woman was followed around the centre of Sudbury last week.

Suffolk Constabulary says the incident occurred on Thursday, between 1.05pm and 1.30pm, when a woman was followed by a man along Market Hill, inside the Javelin clothes shop in Friars Street and then along Station Road.

Subsequently, a 40-year-old man was arrested in connection the incident.

He was later released on police bail, pending further enquiries, on the provision that he returns on Sunday, July 7.

A police spokesperson said they believe members of the public may have witnessed something of relevance, as it is understood that a number of customers were present inside the Javelin store during the times stated above, and could have useful information.

Anybody who can help with the investigation should contact Suffolk Police on 101.

Alternatively, you can get in contact with the Crimestoppers charity anonymously by telephoning 0800 555111.
