A man has been arrested, in connection with the seizure of drugs and money in Earls Colne last week.

Officers from Essex Police stopped a vehicle at an address in De Vere Road on Thursday, after concerns were raised by local residents.

Subsequently, a large quantity of illegal drugs and cash was found in the vehicle.

As a result, a 19-year-old man was arrested, on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, possession of firearms offences, and money laundering.

He has since been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.

Inspector Colin Cox said: “I need members of the public to report information relating the sale of drugs in the district.

“All information – no matter how large or small – is really important to us and helps us to build up a picture of the issue.”

Anybody with information about drug activity in the area should call 101, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
