Man airlifted to hospital after crash near Lavenham

A man was taken by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge after a serious collision between a motorbike and a car on the A1141 between Lavenham and Cockfield yesterday.

Police were called to the scene at 9.27am yesterday morning and the road was closed.

The motorbike rider, who was airlifted, was complaining of back pain, while other parties were treated for whiplash.

The road reopened at 1.10pm.
