A family-run chocolatier is in the running to win the Co-op’s Producer of the Year award.
Hadleigh Maid has been producing hand-made chocolates since 1976.
Angela and Donny Briggs, who took over running the business 10 years ago, began supplying the East of England Co-op in 2012.
Donny said: “Just being a part of this initiative is fantastic – we are absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted and in contention to win Producer of the Year.”
Hadleigh Maid has recreated the walnut and mallow whirl for the Co-op – one of its original products from the 1970s.
