A record amount of £1,300 was raised at the Woodhall Primary School annual fair recently. The event is organised by the Friends of Woodhall, a parents and carers group which raises money for school resources and pays towards class outings.
Sudbury mayor Jack Owen attended and judged the children’s miniature garden competition, finding time to enjoy the fair and join in with dancing on the playground.
Head teacher Lesley Farrow said: “It went extremely well and we had a great time. We raised a record amount this year; the attendance was very good.
“There were lots of stalls, donkey rides as well as a dog agility course, and for our tombola we had a lot of great things donated by local businesses.” she added.
