Renowned for its wool trade, Lavenham paid homage to its rich heritage this week.

Specialists were on hand to perform a number of demonstrations at the Guildhall on Monday, when they showcased various projects on their traditional spinning wheels.

“We had a really enjoyable day,” said property operations manager Josephine Waters. “We are thankful to the members of the local guild for coming in and providing the demonstrations.”

Using both traditional and modern fibres, visitors were shown a series of steps involved in spinning yarn.
