Sudbury is ready for one of its biggest events of the year, when the annual Carnival arrives on Sunday.

The day kicks off at noon, with a procession of floats starting at the Delphi Centre and parading through the town, with the theme of countries of the world.

The parade will end at Belle Vue Park, where the main event will be taking place across the rest of the day.

Attractions will include displays by Lavenham Falconry, a fancy dress competition, Punch and Judy, laser tag, amusement rides and live music from Route 66 and Less Than Perfect.

Organiser Angie Talbot said: “The preparations are going very well. It’s been challenging with the road closures but we have come up with a new route which is the best outcome.

“There is going to be a lot going on in Belle Vue Park. I do believe this year’s carnival will be a great success, especially with the support of the people of Sudbury.”
