SUDBURY library will host an exhibition charting its transformation from the Corn Exchange to its present state.

Sudbury’s Phoenix: From Corn Exchange to Library will be unveiled on Saturday at 2.30pm.

The exhibition will be opened by Lord Phillips of Sudbury OBE, president of the Sudbury Society, who will also present an architecture and design award on the day.

The event forms part of Civic Day, which is organised by Civic Voice, a national charity which aims to promote civic pride and the uniqueness of individual towns.

The Sudbury Society is seeking contributions to the exhibition, which will feature photographs, documents and memories of the building’s history and conversion.
