ST Nicholas Hospice Care is looking for women to go the extra mile this year for its annual midnight walk.

The fourth annual Girls Night Out, which raised £100,000 last year, will see hundreds of women take part in a six or 11.2-mile route through Bury St Edmunds on Saturday, September 15.

To celebrate the Olympics, the hospice, which supports people living with terminal illnesses and their families, is asking walkers to dress in Greek-style togas, laurel leaves and gold jewellery.

Jenny Baskett, events and challenges fundraiser at the hospice, said: “As well as being a great way to support your local hospice, there is a tremendous sense of fun and camaraderie on the walk.

“September may seem a long way off, but if you already know you want to take part, why not sign up now and get started with raising sponsorship money?”

Registration costs £15, or £10 before May 31, and includes a T-shirt.
