“Horrific” crash kills four people in Worlington

Four people have been killed in a collision between two vehicles this evening, Friday July 17.

The collision took place at 8.14pm today on the B1102 Freckenham Road in Worlington, near to Barton Mills.

It is believed that two vehicles were in collision, one vehicle left the road, ended up in the front garden of a home and caught fire.

Four people have been confirmed dead. Officers from Suffolk Fire and Rescue service and East of England Ambulance service are also in attendance.

The road will be closed while a serious collision investigation takes place.

No further details will be released regarding the victims while the next of kin are being informed.

A volunteer critical care team from the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) were first on scene.

A SARS spokesman said “It was a horrific scene and our thoughts go out to all the friends and families of the deceased.”
