Hedingham School ‘delighted’ with A-Level results
Staff at Hedingham School and Sixth Form said they were delighted with “another successful year” at A-Level.
In total 99 per cent of students gained a pass in their A-Level examinations with 61 per cent achieving a pass rate at A* to C grade.
In the Level 3 vocational courses there was a 100 per cent pass rate with 40 per cent of students registering Distinctions.
Headteacher John Panayi said, “we are pleased with the performances of the students. The school has worked collectively to set high student expectations, which again, has been reflected in the results.
“I would like to thank the commitment and hard work demonstrated by all students, staff and parents. I wish all the students a successful future.
“A special mention must go to the Art students who achieved 5A*s. This is an exceptional achievement for these students and the Art learning area.”
There were a number of notable individual performances at the school with Peter Olley achieved 2 As and a B grade. He will now take his place at Southampton to study aeronautics.
Giorgia Paddock will study model design at Hertfordshire University following achieving 2 A*s and a C grade.
Daniel Mackinnon achieved 2 As and 2 B grades and plans to read chemistry at degree level, while Jonathan Banks-Seeney gained 2 As and a B and is looking to study international relations at Birmingham.
At AS Level, Denys Hellary achieved 5 A grades and now hopes to pursue his application to Oxford.
