Hearing care facility opens in Sudbury
A new hearing care facility has opened its doors at Sudbury Community Health Centre.
The Hearing Care Centre, which has been run by businesswoman Karen Finch since 1998, has added Sudbury to its list of 20 branches across Suffolk and Norfolk.
She said the number of people suffering with hearing loss will rise as noise pollution increases and people live longer.
“This will, more than likely, become one of the biggest health issues of modern times,” she said.
“Millions of people who could benefit from wearing a hearing aid are reluctant to do so.
“People who take action, have a hearing test and go on to improve their lives with the use of hearing aids, not only benefit themselves, but also their family, friends and colleagues.”
Karen said everyone at the community health centre had been very welcoming to her staff.
She added: “Our whole business is built around offering our patients the very best hearing care service, while providing it to them locally so they don’t have to travel far.
“By opening here in Sudbury, it will help improve this.”
The centre is offering free appointments for hearing tests and professional advice until the end of April.
