PEOPLE are being invited to attend a drop-in event to find out more about plans for Sudbury’s new health centre.
The event, which will take place on Tuesday from 2.30pm to 6.30pm in The Assembly Room of Sudbury Town Hall, aims to provide essential information about the facility, which will be located in Church Field Road, Chilton, and is likely to be built by 2013.
The centre will replace the outdated buildings from which healthcare in the town is currently given, with services all under one roof.
Plans for the building will be available for inspection and representatives from NHS Suffolk, architects Murphy Phillips and the Siam Surgery GP practice will be in attendance.
Mark Marshall, NHS Suffolk’s head of corporate development and infrastructure, said: “This event will allow everyone who has an interest to have an early look at the draft plans and designs of the new facility.
“We look forward to providing the people of Sudbury and the surrounding area with a new, modern building to house all of the services they currently receive from Walnuttree, St Leonards, the health centre at Acton Lane and the Siam Surgery GP practice.”
