THE developer for Sudbury’s new health centre has been announced.
The Assura Group – a specialist healthcare property firm – was chosen as the preferred bidder for the £10million centre, which is to be built in Church Field Road.
Derek Mitchell, health centre project manager for NHS Suffolk, said: “We are delighted to have chosen a developer from a shortlist of three.
“The date of completion remains unchanged and we are looking forward to starting construction.”
Plans for a new health facility for the town have been mooted for more than 30 years. It is expected to be up and running in 2014.
