A dance student from Leavenheath has been chosen as the face of Burberry’s latest Christmas advert alongside Romeo Beckham.
Hannah Dodd, who is already causing quite a stir in the modelling industry, will appear in the world-renowned fashion brand’s festive campaign this year.
Appearing alongside Hannah is Romeo, the son of David and Victoria Beckham, who gives the 19-year-old and her co-star Anders Hayward the gift of love for Christmas.
The advert marks a fast rise to fame for young Hannah, who only left Ormiston Sudbury Academy in 2013 and is still studying for a theatre dance degree at London Studio Centre.
“I never imagined being involved in a Burberry campaign,” said Hannah.
“It feels amazing. It still doesn’t seem real, but I had so much fun working on it.”
Hannah was signed by a modelling agency three years after agreeing to take part in a fashion shoot for Sudbury hairdressers Fatal Attraction in North Street.
She said she hoped there would be more to come from the partnership with Burberry, but was focused on her studies for now.
“I hope to continue with my dance training and am excited to see what’s next for my career,” she said.
Hannah’s sudden emergence has seen the relative newcomer featured in a number of articles – both in fashion magazines and national newspapers.
Ormiston Sudbury Academy principal Caroline Wilson said: “I am delighted Hannah has continued with the same vein of success and professionalism as when she was a student here.
“She is a source of inspiration to students and I am proud to say that she was part of Ormiston Sudbury Academy.”
