Refurbishment works to the chancel roof and windows at St Andrew’s Church in Great Cornard have been completed.
Scaffolding was removed at the weekend after six months of work at the church in Church Road.
The vicar of St Andrew’s Church, the Rev Chris Ramsey, said: “It is absolutely wonderful, it is so much brighter and lighter - it feels like a lively space now.”
He added that the next stage of the church’s refurbishment would see improvements to the interior of the chancel, with the kitchen to be upgraded in the next year and the west end of the church in the next two to three years.
Mr Ramsey thanked all those who had made donations and raised funds for the project.
