Glemsford Primary Academy is gearing up to welcome visitors to its summer fete this weekend.

Staged at the school in Lion Road on Saturday, between noon and 3pm, each class will be competing to see who can raise the most money from their respective stalls.

Visitors will be treated to a performance by members of the school choir, with an inaugural dog show featuring alongside other attractions at the event.

Hot and cold treats will be on offer, as will a barbecue.

“It promises to be a fantastic day for everyone,” said headteacher Ben Jeffrey.
