GENERAL ELECTION 2019: South Suffolk candidates confirmed for hustings event in Sudbury




Voters will have a chance to quiz the prospective parliamentary candidates (PPCs) for South Suffolk at a general election hustings event in Sudbury next week.

Conservative candidate James Cartlidge, Labour’s Elizabeth Hughes, David Beavan, of the Liberal Democrats, and Robert Lindsay, representing the Green Party, will all be on hand to respond to questions and comments from residents at St John’s Methodist Church in York Road on Tuesday evening.

The hustings is scheduled to begin at 7.30pm, with doors to the venue opening at 7pm, and all constituents are welcome to attend.

Polls will open for the general election – the third of its kind in the last five years – on Thursday, December 12, with ballots being cast from 7am until 10pm.

Following the counting of votes overnight, the results will be announced on the morning of Friday, December 13.
