A garden and plant sale which was postponed after a mix-up will go ahead, organisers have confirmed.
The annual May Day plant sale in Sudbury’s Market Hill in aid of the Quay Theatre was postponed after the market square was double booked with the continental markets to celebrate the town twinning.
A new date has been agreed with the sale to take place on Monday, May 25, the next bank holiday.
Organiser Bryan Thurlow said he was delighted the event would still take place.
“We are thrilled to bits it will go ahead,” he said.
“Over 20 nurseries will coming, all the plant lovers of Sudbury can come along.”
It is hoped the event will emulate last year’s success when £800 was raised for the theatre.
The event starts at 10am.
