Game birds stolen in raid

POLICE are appealing for information after birds were stolen from an outbuilding in Cavendish.

Twenty ko-samo – a breed of small game bird which can fetch around £20 each – were taken from the outbuilding between 5pm on Monday, May 28, and 9am the next day. Thieves used power tools to cut through three doors to reach the animals.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area, as well as anyone who may know the whereabouts of the birds, which are a mixture of cockerels and hens and a variety of colours.

Calls should be made to Sgt Sarah Bartley at Suffolk Police on 101.
