A FUNDRAISING event in aid of a three-year-old girl who suffers from a mystery condition that causes epileptic fits will take place next month.
Long Melford Football Club is planning to hold an event at the club’s Stoneylands Stadium in New Road on Saturday, May 21.
The club wants to raise money for village youngster Megan Roper, who spent the first four months of her life in hospital. Despite hundreds of tests, doctors have been unable to diagnose her condition.
Organisers are encouraging people interested in setting up stalls to contact them and have arranged for a number of the players to have a sponsored leg-and-chest wax.
Fundrasier Tammy Bennett said: “We hope this will be a great event and are inviting everybody to come along.
“We have some people doing a sky-dive in aid of the cause and want to raise as much money as we can for Megan and the club.”
Anyone who would like to pitch a stall for £10 at the event, which starts at 1pm, should contact Tammy on 01787 371332.
