Sudbury Regatta takes place on Saturday with free entrance for spectators as clubs from all over the South East of England and beyond compete.

The Sudbury Rowing Club Regatta takes place on the River Stour at Friars Meadow. Free parking is available on the day on the Meadow.

There will also be a tea tent, hog roast, ice cream stands, beer tent, burger stall and children’s rides, with live music in the afternoon.

This year visitors can take on the club’s ERG challenge, rowing as far as you can on a rowing machine in a minute.

The first races start at 8am with final races around 7pm.

A spokesman for the club said: “Bring your picnic rugs and sit along the edge of the river for a great view of the rowing. Join us for a fun day out.”
