Four artists from the Sudbury area are joining forces to stage a show of paintings, drawings, prints and ceramics.
The Stour Valley Artists, who began exhibiting together in 2010, all have successful artistic careers.
They include Pauline Stainer, a poet with eight published collections. She works mainly in watercolour but also uses mixed media.
Belinda King, who runs two art groups in Assington, was a print maker for many years and helped set up Gainsborough’s House print workshop in Sudbury.
She has now returned to painting, mainly in oils, and her colourful landscapes are often based on quick pencil sketches.
Marnie Deakins trained in America and worked as a designer in publishing in Los Angeles and London. She paints and works in ceramics, reflecting light and a sense of narrative in the landscape.
Pamela Yeend trained as a painter and printmaker. Her work is influenced by direct experience as well as personal or current issues.
Their fourth joint exhibition can be seen at The Edmund Gallery, Bury St Edmunds, from Friday, June 6, to Thursday, June 12, from 11am to 7pm.
