Long Melford Library unveiled its new look on Wednesday, with new furniture and carpets.

Funding for the work came from Waitrose Sudbury’s green token scheme, The Hamilton Charity, the Friends of Long Melford Library and district councillor John Nunn.

Maryanne Robinson, chair of the friends group, said: “Long Melford is a small library but we’re very proud of it and it’s great to be able to improve the interior and create a better and more welcoming environment. We’re very grateful to everyone who has helped to fund these improvements.”
