PEOPLE who need to get advice on the cost of care for elderly people are being given the number of a new, referral service called CareAware by Suffolk County Council.
It provides free information and advice, and the council is the first local authority in the country to refer families preparing for future care needs directly to a free advice service.
Councillor Colin Noble, the county’s portfolio holder for Adult and Community Services said: “I am delighted to announce the launch of CareAware in Suffolk.
“This service is designed to help people make informed choices about paying for care and to reduce the risk of money running out whilst still protecting any inheritance legacies. I am confident that this new service will really help people better understand what options are available to them.”
