THE Sudbury Flower Club starts a new season of demonstrations and practical workshops at its regular meeting place, The Stevenson Centre, in Stevenson Approach, Great Cornard, in two weeks’ time.

The club starts on Thursday, October 13 and will now meet every second Thursday of the month, with the first meeting featuring flowers arranged by Jacquie Aldous, a member of the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies on the theme ‘Fun and Games’.

Club secretary Brenda Graham said: “The commentaries are instructive and frequently amusing. Members can sit back, relax and be informed and entertained.

“The arrangements can be examined at close quarters and questions put to the demonstrator. There is raffle and six participants go home with one of the professional flower arrangements as prize. They are invariably stunning.”

Admission on the door is £5 and annual membership is £20 with an extra payment of £2 per meeting.

The club meets at 7pm for 7.30pm. For more information email Brenda on brendagraham1@hotmail.com or telephone 01787 370032, or come along on the night.
