Fishing equipment valued at £5,000 stolen from garden shed in Acton




Fishing gear worth thousands of pounds was stolen, following a burglary at a home near Sudbury earlier this month.

The break-in occurred at a garden shed located at a property in High Street, Acton, some time between 6pm on Friday, January 10 and 6am on Thursday, January 16, during which time the owner was away from home.

During this period, an unknown suspect forced entry into the shed and stole numerous items of fishing equipment valued at a total of £5,000, including seven rods, seven reels, a number of nets and tackle.

Anybody who saw any suspicious activity in the area within the times stated, who has been offered fishing gear for sale, or who has any information about the incident, is asked to get in touch.
