Companies gather for annual South Suffolk Business Expo at Stoke-by-Nayland Hotel
Thirty firms and organisations took the opportunity to showcase their services and products at an annual business exhibition on Tuesday.
Now in its fourth year, the South Suffolk Business Expo – organised by Penny Wilby, pictured, from business website thebestof Sudbury – was held at Stoke-by-Nayland Hotel, Golf and Spa.
The event included a speed networking lunch and seminars by five speakers, including Wendy Smith, who represented Great Britain at the 2004 Paralympics in Athens in wheelchair basketball.
This led to a career as a coach and tutor, helping others achieve their sporting dreams.
Other speakers included business coach, speaker and author Mandie Holgate, police counter terrorism officer Gavin Demant, business development expert Jacky Ling and marketing business owner Rebecca Thornton.
Organiser Penny Wilby said: “Our local business community is a passionate and committed one. This was a fantastic opportunity to meet business owners from across south Suffolk, north Essex and beyond, the perfect place to make new contacts, develop existing relationships and do plenty of business.
“This year, the format was slightly changed to allow for an extra seminar and a speed-networking lunch. For the last couple of years, I have been organising networking lunches and they’ve been a great hit, so this year, I brought the format to the expo.”
Exhibitors at this year’s event included Sudbury Chamber of Commerce, Thomas Gainsborough School sixth form, Sudbury Speakers Club, Hunnaball Family Funeral Group, Peake Fitness, Coversure, Polyspiral, The Bell Hotel, Wayman & Long Solicitors, Nicky West Photography, Indigo Ross, TotalView Consultancy, 4Networking, Taylor Made Trees, Rudlings Wakelam, Junari, The Oil Connection, Website Design, Thrive with Sue, Trust Financial Solutions, Arego Life, Tax Assist, Peake Fitness and WPA Healthcare Practice.
The exhibition was free to attend.
