Firefighters free person trapped in car which had crashed into a ditch

Firefighters helped to free a person trapped in a car which had crashed into a ditch on the B1115 between Little Waldingfield and Monks Eleigh tonight.

They were called by the ambulance service at 5.52pm with three crews from Sudbury, Long Melford and Hadleigh attending the incident.

A spokesman said: “Crews arrived on scene to find one car in ditch with one person medically trapped.

“First aid was given to the casualty and the vehicle was stabilised before firefighters were able to release the casualty into the care of the ambulance service.”

All crews were back on station by 7.25pm.
