Local families and users of Cox’s Park in Hadleigh are being urged to cast their final vote for one of two items of play equipment which have been chosen as favoured options for the recreation area.

Following an event in the park on May 19, users were asked what type of equipment they would like to replace the old and damaged helter skelter.

More than one hundred responses were received with two pieces coming out as favourites - a sitting rotator and a climbing slide.

Babergh are now asking people to cast a vote for which of these they would prefer. Those wishing to vote can do so online via the link or alternatively by using one of two ballot boxes which are located in the reception area of Hadleigh Pool and Leisure or the Babergh District Council offices in Corks Lane.

Those wishing to cast a vote have until Monday 20 July 2015.

Peter Garrett, corporate manager for public realm, said: “We would like to thank everyone who took the time to come along to our event in May and speak to us about what play equipment they would like to see in the park.

“This also proved to be an excellent opportunity for us to gain some valuable feedback from those who use the park and as a result we will acting on some of the suggestions we received about providing additional seating and changing the position of the bench already there.”
