Fete raises £1,400

A variety of attractions guaranteed a fun-filled morning for pupils, parents and villagers who attended Nayland Primary School’s summer fete.

Popular features included donkey rides, a zippy dipper, bouncy castle, barbecue, face painting and a penalty shoot-out on Saturday.

Organised by the Home School Association, the event made around £1,400 for school funds.

Chairman Emma Wallis said: “It was a great success, very well attended and we missed the rain by about an hour. Thanks to everyone for their hard work and all who supported us.”

Tombola prizes were donated by the schoolchildren when they took part in a non-uniform.
