Farmers’ market to start at village hall

A new farmers’ market will be launched at Nayland Village Hall on Saturday.

Producers of cakes, sausages, beef and bread will among those attending the event run by Roy Reece, who already runs a market at Sible Hedingham.

“The essential thing about a farmers’ market is that food is produced locally and sold directly while it is still fresh by the people who grew, reared or cooked it and they can discuss their products with consumers,” said Mr Reece.

There will also be a number of craft stalls selling jewellery and handmade soaps. For more information about the event, which starts at 10am and is free to enter, contact 07513 464567.
