Farm set for sample day

TWO brothers are holding an open day at their Nayland farm to introduce their products to local people.

Chris and Iain Learmonth have run Stocks Farm in Cawley Road since 1996 and produce apples, eggs, lamb, pork, beef and poultry.

They currently sell all their food in London but are keen to market it locally and will be running the event on Bank Holiday Monday, August 29.

Chris said: “We’re trying to find a way of selling our products in this area and are holding an open day at the farm to gauge interest.

“Other producers within the Dedham Vale, or allotment holders with surplus, are welcome to join us.”

The event opens at 11am with lunch on a first-come, first-served basis and sample tasters.
