Ex-editor Geoff marks 90th birthday
Former Suffolk Free Press editor Geoff Brown celebrated his 90th birthday at the weekend at a party for family, friends and ex-colleagues at the Bull Hotel, Long Melford.
Geoff, who still lives in Sudbury, joined the paper in 1951 as deputy editor, and was editor from 1958 until he retired 27 years later.
He and his wife Joan have two children, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Geoff is pictured with, from left, granddaughters Emily and Phillipa, and daughter Deirdre.
