Enthronement of Suffolk’s new bishop

Suffolk’s new bishop was enthroned during a ceremony at St Edmundsbury Cathedral on Saturday.

As is ancient custom, The Right Reverend Martin Seeley knocked on the cathedral door three times before being invited inside.

Fanfares, rousing hymns, celebration and applause all featured as part of the service, after which Bishop Martin took the time to meet members of his congregation.
