AN art exhibition in memory of a much-loved artist will be held in Sudbury.
Yvonne Skargon, who lived and worked in Lavenham for 30 years, died last year.
An exhibition of her wood engravings entitled A World of Her Own will take place at Gallery 47 in Gainsborough Street from June 3 until June 7.
Yvonne was born in Essex and studied wood engraving at Colchester School of Art, before working as a book designer and teaching wood engraving at the Royal College of Art.
Her commissions included illustrations for most of Jane Grigson’s cookery books and she was a member of Gainsborough’s House Print Workshop. She was 79 when she died.
