They say every dog has its day and that was certainly true at a recent Sudbury event.

The Friends of St Peter’s held a heritage day incorporating a special dog day, on June 6.

The canine-friendly event included an all-day cafe - with doggie drinks, of course - and stalls and information from organisations including local police, Sesaw Animal Rescue Centre, Dog Sense Matters, a Common Lands representative talking about dogs and the meadows, and community wardens from Sudbury Town Council. There were also short guided tours of the building and music from 10am-noon.
